Options Menu
  • Grid: Toggle various types of grids
    • Ultra Fine:
      Enables a 8x8px grid.
    • Fine:
      Enables a 16x16px grid.
    • Normal:
      Enables a 32x32px grid. (Staredit default)
    • Large:
      Enables a 64x64px grid.
    • Extra Large:
      Enables a 128x128px grid.
    • Custom:
      Displays a window to enter custom grid size for primary and secondary grid. Also allows color selection.
    • Disabled:
      Disables the grid.
    • Color:
      Quickly choose one of the often used colors.

  • Units: Settings relevent to the unit layer.
    • Buildings Snap to Tile:
      Scmdraft Default: Enabled
      Staredit behavior: Enabled
      Toggles whether buildings are automatically snapped to tile borders, in a similar fashion to ingame building placement.

    • Units Snap to Grid:
      Scmdraft Default: Disabled
      Staredit behavior: Disabled
      Toggles whether units are automatically snapped to the current active grid.

    • Allow Stack:
      Scmdraft Default: Disabled
      Staredit behavior: Disabled
      Toggles whether ground units, buildings, minerals, etc may be stacked.

    • Enable Air Stack:
      Scmdraft Default: Enabled
      Staredit behavior: Disabled
      Toggles whether air units may be placed in an overlapping fashion.

    • Place Units Anywhere:
      Scmdraft Default: Disabled
      Staredit behavior: Disabled
      Toggles whether unit placement ignores terrain. (IE placed on cliffs, water, etc)

    • Place Buildings Anywhere:
      Scmdraft Default: Disabled
      Staredit behavior: Disabled
      Toggles whether building placement ignores terrain. (IE placed on cliffs, water, etc)

    • Addon Autoplayerswap:
      Scmdraft Default: Enabled
      Staredit behavior: Enabled
      Toggles whether unconnected addons are automatically set to neutral ownership and connected addons automatically set to the player which owns the main building.

    • Require Mineral Distance:
      Scmdraft Default:Enabled
      Staredit behavior:Enabled
      Toggles whether minerals may be placed next to command centers / start locations or not.
  • Locations
    • Snap to Tiles:
      Scmdraft Default:Enabled
      Staredit behavior:Enabled
      Toggles whether locations are aligned on tile boundaries.

    • Snap to Active Grid:
      Scmdraft Default:Disabled
      Staredit behavior:NA
      Toggles whether locations are aligned to the currently active grid

    • No Snap:
      Scmdraft Default:Disabled
      Staredit behavior:NA
      Toggles whether locations need not be aligned to any grid.

    • Clip Names:
      Scmdraft Default:Disabled
      Staredit behavior:NA
      Toggles whether the location names are not fully displayed if it is to large to fit in the location itself. However a minimum amount of room will always be used even for smaller locations

  • Doodads
    • Allow Illegal Placement:
      Scmdraft Default:Disabled
      Staredit behavior:Disabled
      When enabled, doodads can be placed on any terrain, not just matching terrain.

  • Sprites
    • Snap to Grid:
      Scmdraft Default:Disabled
      Staredit behavior:NA
      Toggles whether sprites are snapped to the current active grid or freely placeable.

  • Preview Fog Of War
    • Default Unexplored:
      Sets the not visible areas of fog to unexplored, IE completely black, when previewing fog of war.

    • Default Explored:
      Sets the not visible areas of fog to explored, IE grayed, when previewing fog of war.

    • Show fog of war explored areas:
      Toggles whether to consider areas of the map revealed in the fog of war layer as visible or not.

  • Cut Copy Paste Brush
    • Copy Doodad Tiles:
      When enabled, copying terrain will copy terrain including portions of selected doodads.(MTXM data) When disabled only the underlaying terrain is copied. (TILE data).

  • Output
    • Show:
      Toggles the visibility of the text output box.

    • Level:
      Select the level of output.

  • Zoom:
    Select the zoom level of the current map view.

  • Map Load
    • Correct Doodads:
      When enabled, doodads only present in the MTXM layer will be converted to real selectable doodads, also sprites will be recombined with these doodads.

    • Remove illegal units:
      When enabled, units placed illegally will be removed while loading a map.

  • Enable Sound
    Toggles whether scmdraft will play sounds.

  • Profile Settings:
    Opens up the profile edit window.



Display Options
  • Ally Colors (Planned):
    Will in a future release toggle whether all players belonging to a force share the same unit color.

  • Units (Planned):
    Will in a future release toggle whether units are displayed or not.

  • Doodad Sprites (Planned):
    Will in a future release toggle whether sprites which are parts of doodads are displayed or not.

  • Single Sprites (Planned):
    Will in a future release toggle display of sprites present in the sprite layer.

  • Creep:
    When enabled, creep will be shown

  • Show Powered Status:
    When enabled, protoss buildings which are powered will receive a green selection circle.

  • Hide Map Revealers:
    When enabled, no map revealers will be visible

  • Enable Color Cycling:
    When enabled, the screen will be fully redrawn everytime the color cycling effects change the palette. If disabled color cycling effects will only be visible under the cursor or when units using these are animated.(IE water animation, beacon, etc)

  • Animate Unit Death:
    When enabled, units which are removed will show their death animation. If disabled they will just be removed.

  • Permanent Fog of War:
    When enabled, the fog of war preview will always be rendered.

  • Permanent Locations:
    When enabled, locations will be drawn irregardless of the current active layer.
